Boy, o boy, was it ever cold last year. In fact, around the lunch hour, we witnessed actual snow flakes landing upon the muddy earth. This year was quite the different story.

Rendevous in San Jose

Isn’t there a song floating about in the airwaves about San Jose?
I’m not too sure as to why. If it weren’t next to Apple headquarters this town would be the 10th largest city in California and people still wouldn’t know where it was.

Just read an interesting story in the Santa Cruz Sentinel this morning. It is laden thick with irony.

Presently I’m typing from my in-laws lazy-boy near the fireplace downstairs. Sure is warm and comfortable. Wish I could say that about the dorms in Porvenir. I bet the students are huddled around the one piece of coal we provide to keep them warm each night!
