Camp McCullough ain’t no picnic

From the look of these articles and pictures … you’d think Ventana was just a cheaper version of Club Med or something. I must confess that at times our staff feel more like cruise directors that cultural architects. Since arriving at Camp McCullough in the greater Tacoma, Washington area, we’ve hit a rare occurrence … SUN! And lots of it. To take advantage of the great weather we asked of Director Matt (my good friend since the college days) to keep the lake toys available. He didn’t have a problem knowing our students would eventually have the pleasure of deep cleaning all the boating toys, canoes, and other lake items.

With the lake at our disposal between classes and service times, students utilized the lake, both in the day and in the wee hours of the morning (don’t ask…don’t tell policy applies here). From the flag football games to disc golf to the water games and getting launched off the blob, students continued developing and forging new friendships and experiences that will be crucial in the months ahead as we gear up for the Baja component.
