Job Openings

We begin taking applications for the positions below in March. The positions are open until filled. Before applying please email Doug to verify if the position is still available.

Abuelos

Are you retired and looking for something different to occupy your day? Start a new chapter in your life. Our hope is to find energetic and outgoing couples that yearn to be involved in the lives of those in their midst. If you find yourself sipping coffee and talking about life with the ‘youngsters’ you’d be doing your job. We believe long-term change occurs when mature adults invest in the lives of youth. The abuelo position can be simply labeled as ‘intentional grandparents’ who want to help in developing the next generation of Christians.

Director of Community

You will work in a dynamic environment that will allow you to develop personally and professionally. Your central role is to motivate students and staff members to remain focused on their relationship with Christ and the principles of Ventana Ministries. You will partner with the other staff to implement and support the spiritual and intellectual development of the students and staff. You should work well with others and work best when feeling connected to the entire team. This person is instrumental in helping the students change the way they see the world.

Dorm Manager (House Jefe)

Do you love molding others and challenging them toward a more authentic relationship with Jesus Christ? Do you enjoy conversation while sipping coffee? Do you get excited planning and leading social activities? Do you enjoy leading devotions? Do you enjoy travel and new experiences? If this sounds like something you would consider, download an application.

Facilities Manager

This person recognizes that volunteers can do no wrong. As a ministry that partners with the local church and community, we do ample service projects that will keep you swinging a hammer one day and playing soccer the next. Being a handyman will be helpful but caring for those around you is even more vital. You should be excited in training young adults in basic carpentry and equipping them to lead some of the groups that regularly volunteer in our ministry. They also recognize the value and need for personal discipleship and spiritual growth in the various work teams within the cross-cultural setting.

Intern

We offer internship opportunities for young adults interested in exploring missions as a possible vocation. The following objectives are set forth to clarify our intentions for these positions.

  1. Internships are in a specific departmental role and involve training and work experience in executing responsibilities primarily in that area. Interns are not ‘gophers’ nor do they ‘shadow’ their supervisor. They work as integral members of our team, both supervised and independently, serving students, staff, and volunteers.
  2. Interns agree to enter into a formal spiritual formation program as a part of the group experience. Community living, mentoring and intentional processing of the internship experience are part of the program.
  3. Professional development to acquire marketable skills and exposure to mission or ministry opportunities beyond the departmental role is part of the experience. This is not ‘just a part time job’. Interns will be asked to participate in group activities and interdepartmental functions that serve to round out the experience.

Marketing Manager

We’re looking for resourceful, competent individuals with excellent judgment and the ability to manage the details of a variety of activities and areas while communicating with ministry partners. They should be comfortable juggling tasks from the mundane to the more strategic and able to work productively in a fast-paced, team-orientated environment. You should enjoy speaking to different church and youth settings, as well as hosting our booth and a few youth venues. This person should have a winsome personality, capable of engaging people in conversation, and firmly support the vision of Ventana Ministries.
